XCMG XC968-EV: a charge-and-swap loader for heavy-duty handling

The XCMG XC968-EV is a battery-electric wheel loader built around a charge-and-swap energy system. Its 6,000 kg rated load is suited to steel yards, power plants, coking plants, coal yards, aggregate sites and tunnel work.

Built for shift work

• A roughly 400 kWh LFP battery supports both dual-gun fast charging and swapping.
• XCMG publishes a shortest charging time of about 80 minutes with a 300 kW charger, while a dedicated swap vehicle can complete a swap in about 15 minutes.
• Series dual-motor travel drive and electronically controlled hydraulics target quick response and stable loading performance.

For sites that operate in long shifts, the two energy-supply options can make planning more flexible. Actual productivity, runtime and replenishment time vary with configuration and working conditions.
